Last month we saw the announcement of Henry Cavill playing the role as Geralt in the upcoming Netflix The Witcher series. Now, other roles like Ciri and Yennefer are being filled as well. Producer Lauren Hissrich staid it was a tough process, but they wanted actors who fit the roles and not the best actors fit for marketing, which seems like a good way to go.
Henry Cavill trades his Superman-cape temporarily for two swords of steel and silver. The British actor has been casted as Geralt of Rivia. Cavill will portrait the white haired hunter in the live-action series of The Witcher, which recently went into production.
The Witcher serie that is currently being produced by Netflix is getting 8 episodes and a release in 2020. The takes will be shot in Eastern Europe. The serie will be based on the same books that brought us The Witcher videogame.
