Fallout TV series is still in development

It’s been over a year since Bethesda Game Studios and Amazon Prime Video announced a TV series about the Fallout games. Some fans even thought the series had been canceled. Todd Howard, president of Bethesda, finally gives an update on the series after a long silence.

In a Reddit Q&A, Todd Howard was asked about the Fallout series. Although he had little to say about the project, he did say that the TV series is still in development.

There had been previous attempts to launch a Fallout movie franchise. But Amazon announced last year that this will be a series. In July 2020, Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy joined the project.

“Things are going well. I’m really looking forward to working with Jonathan, Lisa and Amazon.”

The first Fallout game came out in 1997 and was made by Interplay Productions. Ten years later, Bethesda Studios took over the Fallout franchise and released Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. The most recent game in the series is Fallout 76, where players can explore the post-apocalyptic world together.

It is still difficult to say which game(s) will follow the Fallout series. The series can also offer a new storyline which is made with the help of the concepts and themes from the games. For now, fans will have to wait and see for more information about the series.
