If you’re a fan of The Witcher, you know you’re in the right place with Netflix. The streaming service announced that The Witcher is returning for a third season.
And there is more good news. Because we probably won’t have to wait as long for the third season. The shooting of the third season is already planned for early 2022. Of course, there’s always the chance that a production will be delayed, but if all goes well, there’s a good chance that The Witcher season 3 will be seen soon after season 2. In any case, we wouldn’t have to wait two years for that.
Netflix also seems to be doing everything it can to keep Henry Cavill on board. According to sources from The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has just signed a new deal with the streaming service, with his salary increasing to one million dollars per episode. That’s a big difference from the numbers that were leaked about previous seasons of The Witcher. For seasons 1 and 2, Cavill is said to be getting “only” $400,000 per episode.
We’ll have to wait just a little longer before we can see the actor and his colleagues in action. The second season will be released on Netflix on December 17. And we are promised a lot of action in the new episodes, if we are to believe the trailers.
