Netflix is already planning a next series around a well-known game. The streaming service is said to be working behind the scenes on a series surrounding Arkane Studios’ 2012 title Dishonored.
Giant Freakin Robot states that Netflix is looking at the possibility of making a series around Dishonored. The platform reports that Netflix has been given the green light to use the entire world of the series. With three games (Dishonored, Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider), the streaming service has plenty of sources of inspiration.
The games themselves never managed to break through to the mainstream audience, but they do have a smaller, hardcore fan base. Coming from French developer Arkane Studios, the games are set in a world where bodyguard Corvo Attano seeks revenge as an assassin after his daughter is kidnapped. A lot of well known actors were involved as well such as Carrie Fisher, Lena Headey, Chloe Grace Moretz and John Slattery.
It is not yet known who will play in the Dishonored series. After all, the series has not been officially announced yet, even though Giant Freakin Robot’s sources tell a different story. For now, we will most likely need to wait until Netflix officially reveals the series themselves.
If you want to prepare for the upcoming series, you can of course already use the games. They are all on Xbox Game Pass. Of course, the games are also for sale on the PS4 and PC.
