A six-part prequel to The Witcher is coming to Netflix. Set 1,200 years before the story of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher: Blood Origin tells the tragic story of how the very first Witcher is made we will see We will see what events led to the emergence of necessity for those monster killers, namely the Conjunction of the Spheres.
This is an event in the Witcher universe where the worlds of monsters, elves and humans intermingle. It will be a great series for people who are just getting to know The Witcher to learn more about the universe, but at the same time it will be a beautiful film adaptation of one of the most important events in the world.
That means that the miniseries will dive deep into the history of the Witchers and give fans extra context. The leading role in it seems to be reserved for actress Jodie Turner-Smith, who plays the role of Éile.
She is a warrior who is on a quest for revenge and forgiveness. That will likely lead to the first human experiments and the emergence of Witchers. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when the series can be seen.
In the announcement that was released by Netflix, they reported that the new spinoff would be a limited series, and would only have a total of six episodes.
