Sony moving more games to the big screen

Sony was present during CES 2021. There, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan spoke that the company remains fully committed to films and series based on its games.

An Uncharted film adaptation will soon be released and a series on HBO around The Last of Us is being worked on. The PlayStation boss revealed that the upcoming releases are “just┬áthe beginning” of what Sony has planned for their most popular IPs. A total of 3 films and 7 series are already in the works he said.

This is just the beginning of the expansion of our storytelling into new media and even wider audiences. Sony is a creative entertainment company and entertainment has never been more important.
